Some people imagine life here in Mexico- especially with the ferociousness of the cold this year in Canada- is all sunlight and music and color. It is all of that and more. As we all know, and I was reminded when I read the above lines, the sun causes shadows.
Enthusiasm and love, have the gift of revealing only the light for a time; shadows coexist with the light. Shadows are lovely shade,
and they are reflections of sadness, or lostness....The whole catastrophe (Zorba the Greek).
So dream with me of bliss and know with me that there are shadows even here. How could it be otherwise?
